It was a great thrill to play on the Elks Park stage at the 45th Telluride Bluegrass Festival on Thursday, May 24th, just before the semifinal round of the Telluride Troubadour competition. Being the winner of last year's Troubadour competition, I was honored to come back and play as well as help judge the semifinals. The winner this year was Garrett Owen, from Fort Worth, TX. He is a talented writer and performer, and you should check out his music.
I was also happy to get to play a song and do a brief interview on KOTO FM, the local radio station in Telluride, and attend church at Telluride Christian Fellowship on Sunday. The mountains, the music, and the people (not to mention the food) all make Telluride one of my favorite places on Earth, and I'm happy to have had the privilege to visit and perform there so many times.
So long for now, Rocky Mountains!
